Helping Hands organizations, CREW members and friends meet at various community and committee events to select, cut and assemble sewing kits using coordinating fabrics, cording, trim and buttons donated by local commercial interior design firms.  These kits are then sent to area middle schools, high schools, colleges, and sewing clubs to be assembled.  When complete, a custom tag reading, “Made especially for you by CREW Pittsburgh” is sewn into each Satchel.

When the finished bags are returned to our work area, located in Centre City Tower in downtown Pittsburgh, they are then filled with the contents described above before being delivered to our partners for distribution to women throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond who are undergoing chemotherapy.
